, "Paco el seguro"is a good film director Didier Haudepin, where tells a story based on a custom deeply rooted among women of rich class that they needed breast milk to feed their children, and for that used the "amas de cría"(wet nurse), which were maids who bear children while their ladies.
"Paco" is a character that is obsesses with the seriousness of their work, to the extent that waiver to have children with his wife, for a better delivery of his services. His drama begins when a competitor much younger than him. He will Be unable to assume that he can't win the battle at the time.
The interpretation of Alfredo Landa (one of the best actors who has had the Spanish cinema), is magnificent. His gestures, and gesture built his character to perfection, and the rest of the cast of actors makes an excellent work, among others the Eduardo Calvo, Patrick Dewaere and Emilio Fornet.
We must also highlight the excellent ambiance of the time of the 1920, and a good photography, which has surprised me in a Spanish film of 1979.
La música y la forma de filmar algunas tomas molan... tiene algunos momentos interesantes (sobre todo los surrealistas, el círculo de tiza en el suelo de Jean Bousie, etc...) pero no le encuentro demasiado (o ningún) sentido a la cinta.
Como anécdotas macabras, mencionar que Patrick Dewaere se suicidó de un disparo de escopeta en 1982 a los 35 años y que Christine Pascal también moriría suicidándose en 1996, a los 42 años.
